Hunsaker Reunion 2012

The 2012 Hunsaker Reunion was held in Ashton, Idaho at Stonefly Lodge. We started off with Sunday dinner at my parents' house so Matt and Natalie could be a part of something. They didn't come with us to Idaho because baby Paul was expected to arrive soon.

In Ashton we all stayed in a beautiful lodge together. My parents planned Hunsaker Olympics that we did every evening, complete with opening ceremonies, torch relays, and closing ceremonies. Olympic events included Frisbee toss, water balloon toss, obstacle course, and angry birds (Jason won first in this event). We were split into four competing countries-- England, Isle of Man, Sweden, and Switzerland-- which also happen to be four countries our ancestors came from. The grandkids thought this was so fun, and they proudly wore their medals after the closing ceremonies.

We took a little hike to see Upper Mesa Falls.

We also did some river rafting, but I didn't get any pictures on my camera. The river was calm enough that even Jason got to come. He was nervous at first, but then he loved it. Kyle and I opted to skip out on the Yellow Stone excursion because we didn't think Noah would enjoy being in the car all day long.

Thanks, Mom and Dad, for planning the reunion. I know it took a lot of work. It sure paid off because we all had a great time together. Jason didn't want to leave.
